What this site does

The checker makes a best-effort attempt to read the public-facing IP visible to the server from request headers and compare it with the router WAN IP that you enter manually in your browser.

Tool inputs and diagnostics

The WAN IP field is used only to perform the comparison in your browser. Port numbers entered into the port checker are sent to the server only so the server can attempt the requested reachability check. WAN IP values and port numbers are not included in the site's analytics events.

Web Analytics and referral attribution

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure basic page usage and high-level tool interaction events such as checker starts, checker completions, port-check starts, and solution-card interactions. Those events are designed to use non-sensitive dimensions such as page type, placement, result category, solution category, and referral source.

When a visit arrives with campaign parameters such as utm_source, the site may keep the first-touch referral information in session storage so later interaction events can still be attributed to that visit. For readability, a source such asutm_source=chatgpt.com may also be labelled as ChatGPT in analytics while the original UTM values are retained.

This site does not send WAN IP values, public IP values, entered port numbers, or advertising-enquiry message contents into those analytics events.

Advertising and affiliate links

Advertising may appear on selected pages if it has been enabled and configured by the site owner. Some recommendation links may be affiliate links, and some placements may be paid sponsorships. Those commercial relationships do not guarantee that a solution is suitable for your use case.

Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies where consent and applicable rules permit. For visitors in places such as the UK, EEA, or Switzerland, non-essential advertising should only be enabled after the site owner has completed the required consent setup with a compatible certified CMP.

Advertising enquiries

If you submit the sponsorship enquiry form on the advertise page, the submitted company and contact details may be stored server-side so the enquiry can be reviewed and answered. The stored enquiry may also include the readable referral source, referrer host, landing path, and raw UTM campaign fields associated with the visit so the site owner can understand how the enquiry was acquired.
