How to use an ISP guide

Start with evidence from your own connection. Read the separately labelled WAN or Internet IPv4 from the router or ISP gateway, compare it with the public IPv4 visible online, and note whether another router sits in between. A provider name by itself does not determine the result.

1. 1. Find the right WAN value.

   Use the WAN-IP guide if the gateway presents several addresses.

2. 2. Compare the addresses.

   Run the best-effort checker and keep the exact result wording rather than assuming CGNAT.

3. 3. Verify with support.

   Ask about your plan, account, equipment, region, and public IPv4 options because the answer can vary.

These pages avoid claiming that every customer of an ISP uses the same addressing model. If a guide does not match what your equipment shows, trust the current connection evidence and verify the account-specific policy directly with the provider.
